Eyal Weizman, director of Forensic Architecture, has investigated the links between violence, conflict, and the environment, producing evidence of state crimes and human rights violations.

In his new book, Ungrounding, he maps Gaza’s terrain, documenting campaigns of displacement and destruction. He argues that spatial and architectural analysis reveals patterns of control and that Israel’s post–7 October actions escalated to what he defines as genocide.

Equator’s Pankaj Mishra will introduce Weizman, who will then be in conversation with the Palestinian writer and lawyer Selma Dabbagh.
